The Inn at Lake Bonavista, Calgary, Alberta

The original building was constructed in 1967 consisting of a 12,000 sq. ft. single use restaurant.  Barry Developments purchased the property, completed the redevelopment and expansion of the building to create a 6 tenant multi storey mixed –use project.  The redevelopment included: negotiation with the two affected Community Associations, building systems refurbishment, physical layout expansion, and the complete modernization of the interior space overlooking Lake Bonavista. Throughout the construction process, Barry Developments was able to maintain the architectural appeal of the original building while adding a foyer and handicapped accessibility which resulted in a 50% increase in the leasable area of the building.
